05-02-11 Good bye to Ranjani

Over the last 9 months we had an undergrad intern, Ranjani Lakshmin, in our lab via the CIRM bridges programm (http://www.cirm.ca.gov/RFA_08-04). On Monday 04-02-11 we went to Cha Cha Cha on Haight to say good bye.

04-04-11 Thesis defense and good bye to Mary

On 04-04-11 Mary Mohrin, the first PhD student in our lab, had to defend/present her thesis. Afterwards there were celebrations in the break room of our lab and in the evening we were invited to Emmanuelle's place to say good bye to Mary.

To get acquainted with other labs on our pod of the new stem cell building we went to play Paint Ball nearby San Jose. Even Emmanuelle joined for the fun...

07-18-2010 Good bye to Keegan

On July 18th 2010, 2 years after the first technician left the lab, we had to say good bye to Keegan Barry-Holson, the second technician in the Passegue lab. Emmanuelle had invited us over for a potluck BBQ at her place for her roast. It was beautiful weather that day and we ended up in the hot tub in Emmanuelle's place.

04-15-2010 Stem cell retreat 2010

In april 2010 our whole lab attended the yearly stem cell retreat, which in this year was held together with labs from UCLA. As every year, the venue took place in Pacific Grove nearby Monterey, CA. The days were filled with science, but in the evening there was time for dancing.

03-26-2010 Tahoe lab retreat

In March 2010 we had our second lab retreat to Lake Tahoe, where we hiked, skied, played games and almost got snowed in.
